The Last Days of Old Earth is a card-driven, turn-based strategy game. Set in a future where a dying sun is forcing an exodus towards the equator, you must pick one of two opposing factions and battle your way through a hostile world in a race for survival.

Master your troops

The Last Days of Old Earth takes you to a future in which the Sun is slowly fizzling out. And this is bad because - when your star starts to die - your options are pretty much limited to “find somewhere hot”. So, as you take control of either the human Skywatchers or the robotic Automata, you mission is clear: head South to the equator.

Both factions have different goals and distinct play styles to master. This variety is reflected in the 30 unique units each side has to build their armies with, which can range from tiny infantry to massive city sized mechas.

In each turn-based battle you have access to 24 unique heroes. Between them, these special units provide 60 special abilities that can completely change the flow of the fight. It is only by learning how these synergize with your play style that you truly master these theaters of war.

Manipulate the battlefield

Your journey takes you across vicious frozen environments, filled with ruined cities that have been crushed by fallen satellites. Different arenas offer different wrinkles to these landscapes, granting you cover and elevation to use your advantage.

With multiple options available to you to accomplish your goals, the world around you may alter your plans. After all, if you start with the high ground, it would be silly to waste this advantage. But, in a weaker position, stealth could prove a better tactic.

Through the campaign every arena you battle in is handcrafted, ensuring a fair match as you square off against the challenging AI. However, to provide a longer gameplay experience, the skirmish mode features randomly generated maps - perfect for when you want just one more match online.

Prepare for war

The Last Days of Old Earth is being launched on Steam’s Early Access in March. Anticipate an update to this preview then, and a full review when the game is launched.
